Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be a vital part of our cybersecurity team, contributing to the management and maintenance of our Information Security systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing information security expertise to system development teams.
- Managing the overall cybersecurity of the ICAM Solution.
- Ensuring that identified security vulnerabilities, policy deviations, and mandate violations are documented, reported, tracked, and remediated on a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
- Following guidance from the Department’s Common Controls Catalog and the latest versions of NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-63.
- Reviewing information system documentation and the information system itself at least monthly.
- Updating documentation for the information system in the selected central cybersecurity repository.
- Capturing system weaknesses in the POA&M.
- Ensuring that security plans and authorization documentation for provided systems, services, and networks are developed and kept current.
What You Need to Know:
The ideal candidate should have experience with:
- Cybersecurity repository tools (e.g., CSAM, Xacta).
- Authority to Operate (ATO) process.
- Continuous monitoring.
- Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
- Security Authorizations (SA).
- NIST 800-37.
- NIST 800-53 Rev3/Rev4.
- Working with System Owners (SO).
- FISMA compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience highly desired.
- 5-7 years of applicable professional experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government clearance.
