We Don't Just Advise. We Build.

One accountable partner from strategy to operations, beyond traditional consulting.

Executive Summary

  • 01Security programs usually fail in the handoff between a recommendation and a working, monitored control.
  • 02Frameworks such as NIST CSF 2.0 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 only deliver value when each requirement becomes an owned, tested and evidenced control.
  • 03Regulated organizations should ask who operates controls, who holds audit evidence and who benefits from each tool recommendation.

Who We Are

Advisory, Infrastructure and Platforms Under One Relationship.

DAAKYI is a cybersecurity partner for governments, regulated enterprises and critical infrastructure operators. We guide, secure and operate: risk and assurance work that sets direction, engineering that turns strategy into deployed controls, and 24/7 operations that keep those controls working.

Our delivery combines international standards and technology partnerships with regional delivery and local regulatory fluency.

The DAAKYI Stack

Three Value Layers.

Each layer has a job. Together they make DAAKYI accountable for the strategy, the infrastructure and the platforms clients rely on.

  1. 03

    Platform

    Repeatable IP

Compliance automation, continuous assurance and software-enabled services through CompaaS.

Owning the platform layer is what makes it scale.

  2. 02

    Infrastructure

    Operational Backbone

DAAKYI Cloud, managed security infrastructure and 24/7 operations on infrastructure we operate.

Owning the infrastructure layer keeps trust accountable.

  3. 01

    Advisory

    Trust Builder

Strategy, GRC, certification preparation, risk consulting and executive advisory.

Owning the advisory layer earns trust.

Perspective

The Context Behind Our Approach

Where Security Programs Break Down

Most security programs fail between the recommendation and the control. A risk assessment names a weakness. A report assigns an owner. Months later the weakness persists because no one had the engineering capacity, change approval or operational ownership to close it. Separate vendors for advice, build and run add handoffs, and every handoff loses context. A single accountable chain keeps the original risk rationale attached to the configuration, the alert rule and the audit evidence that eventually proves the fix.

Turning Frameworks into Working Controls

Frameworks give structure, not outcomes. NIST CSF 2.0 organizes cybersecurity into six functions: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Annex A lists 93 controls across organizational, people, physical and technological themes, with ISO/IEC 27002:2022 explaining how to apply them. The practical task is translation. Each selected control needs a technical owner, a configuration standard, a test and a record. Without that chain, a Statement of Applicability is a document rather than a defense.

Why Operations Decide Whether Controls Hold

A control that is deployed but unwatched decays. Rules drift, exceptions accumulate and logs go unread. Detection engineering maps telemetry to adversary behavior, often using MITRE ATT&CK, which organizes Enterprise tactics into 14 categories with techniques beneath them. NIST SP 800-61 describes incident handling from preparation through post-incident learning. Time matters legally as well: GDPR expects notification of a personal-data breach to the supervisory authority within 72 hours where feasible. Continuous monitoring is what makes such obligations achievable.

Matching Regulation to the Right Assets

Regulatory fluency starts with knowing which law attaches to which asset. Ghana's Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) established the Cyber Security Authority and provides for Critical Information Infrastructure designation, accreditation of service providers and incident reporting. The Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) requires data controllers to register and sets eight privacy principles. PCI DSS v4.0.1 governs card data, with future-dated requirements mandatory since 31 March 2025. HIPAA adds safeguards for electronic protected health information. One environment can fall under several.

Questions to Ask a Security Partner

Buyers should test a security partner with direct questions. Who operates each control after go-live? Who holds the evidence an auditor will request? Does the advisor have a commercial interest in the tools it recommends, and is that disclosed? Are runbooks, architecture records and detection logic handed over to your team? Can the partner express findings in ISO 31000 risk language and against your regulator's expectations? Clear answers show whether a provider can carry accountability beyond the slide deck.

A risk register names the problem. Only an owned, monitored and evidenced control actually closes it.

Glossary

Key Terms

Statement of Applicability
The ISO/IEC 27001 document that lists which Annex A controls an organization applies, and why others are excluded.
Critical Information Infrastructure
Systems whose disruption would seriously affect national security, the economy or public wellbeing, and which Act 1038 provides for designating and protecting.
Detection Engineering
The practice of designing, testing and tuning alerts so that telemetry reliably exposes known adversary behavior.
