OPERATE — Security Operations & Managed Resilience
Detect. Respond. Recover.
Continuous monitoring, early detection, coordinated incident response and tested recovery, delivered through a 24/7 security operations model.
- Detect
- Respond
- Recover
Executive Summary
- 01Detection coverage should be measured against adversary behavior, not alert volume.
- 02Response speed depends on containment actions authorized before an incident begins.
- 03Provider selection should hinge on telemetry, decision rights and knowledge return.
Why OPERATE
OPERATE keeps the protection you have invested in working every hour of every day. Telemetry from across your estate flows into DAAKYI's analytics core and 24/7 SOC, where analysts triage, hunt and respond, and the results reach you as orchestrated response, case management and reporting.
What Clients Gain
- 24/7 visibility across IT, cloud and OT
- Faster detection and containment
- Forensic, regulator-ready evidence
- Rehearsed, proven recovery

Perspective
The Context Behind Our Approach
Measure Detection Against Adversary Behavior
Detection coverage is easiest to judge when mapped to MITRE ATT&CK, which organizes adversary behavior into 14 tactics with techniques and sub-techniques. A mapping shows which behaviors your telemetry can see and where blind spots remain. Mature teams tune detection use cases to their own environment instead of relying on defaults. They test each use case, retire noisy ones and record results. Review coverage whenever new cloud accounts, identity providers or critical applications are added.
Treat Response as a Rehearsed Process
NIST SP 800-61 frames incident handling as preparation, detection and analysis, containment, eradication and recovery, and lessons learned. In NIST CSF 2.0, that work spans the Detect, Respond and Recover functions. Decisions such as isolating a host or disabling an account should be authorized in advance. Regulatory clocks also run during an incident. GDPR, for example, expects notice to the supervisory authority within 72 hours where feasible, so evidence must be preserved as the team works.
Questions to Ask Any Operations Provider
Ask what telemetry is collected and how it is normalized. Ask who may take containment action without calling you, and who owns each step afterward. Ask how detection use cases are tested and how findings reach executives. Check licensing rules: in Ghana, the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) provides for licensing and accreditation of cybersecurity service providers. Finally, confirm how runbooks and knowledge return to your team if you later bring operations in-house.

A security operation is only as good as the behaviors it can see and the actions it may take.
Glossary
Key Terms
- Triage
- The first analyst review that decides whether an alert is a real threat, and how urgent it is.
- Containment
- Actions that stop an attacker spreading, such as isolating endpoints or disabling compromised accounts.
- Detection Engineering
- The practice of designing, testing and tuning detection logic against specific adversary behaviors.

Managed SOC vs MDR vs MXDR
| Compare | Managed SOC | Managed Detection & Response | Managed XDR |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scope | 24/7 monitoring, triage and escalation | Adds hunting, containment and remediation | Unified response across endpoint, network, cloud, identity |
| Telemetry Coverage | In-scope sources collected, normalized and correlated in the SIEM | In-scope sources, plus the depth needed for hypothesis-led hunts | Endpoint, network, cloud and identity correlated in one analytics core |
| Response Responsibility | DAAKYI triages and escalates; your team contains and remediates | DAAKYI hunts, contains and remediates within agreed playbooks | DAAKYI coordinates one response across every layer in scope |
| Best For | Institutions with in-house responders that need round-the-clock eyes | Teams that want detection and containment handled for them | Hybrid estates that need one coordinated response across layers |
