SECURE — Engineering, Architecture & Implementation
Security That Works
A proven approach to solution design, engineering, integration and secure deployment, fully aligned with each client's regulatory and operational requirements.
- Design
- Build
- Deploy
Executive Summary
- 01Effective security architecture starts from assets, threats and legal obligations, not from a list of products.
- 02Designs should be tested against real adversary behavior, such as stolen credentials and lateral movement, before anyone trusts them.
- 03A control counts only when it is tuned, monitored, owned and mapped to a recognized framework.
Why SECURE
DAAKYI designs and implements security solutions, not only recommendations. Our engineers take architecture from paper to production, integrate controls end to end, test every deployment and hand over the knowledge your teams need to run it.
What Clients Gain
- Zero Trust, resilient architectures
- Controls integrated end to end
- Every deployment tested
- Knowledge transfer to your teams

Perspective
The Context Behind Our Approach
Design from Threats and Obligations
Security architecture begins with a clear view of what must be protected, who may reach it and which rules apply. Map assets and data flows first. Then add obligations. Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) lists data security safeguards among its privacy principles, and PCI DSS v4.0.1 governs card environments. Use NIST CSF 2.0 to organize outcomes across Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover. A design that omits Detect and Recover is only a set of preventive products.
Engineer Against Attacker Behavior
MITRE ATT&CK Enterprise organizes adversary behavior into 14 tactics. Test each design against them. A phishing email yields a stolen password. A flat network lets the intruder spread. Excess privilege exposes the data store. NIST SP 800-207 answers this with explicit verification of every request and tight limits on reach. Layer controls so they overlap: segmentation, strong authentication and endpoint telemetry should each slow the intruder even when another layer fails.
Judge Engineering by Evidence
Buyers should ask for design documents, a mapping of controls to frameworks, validation results and handover runbooks. ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Annex A, with 93 controls in four themes, is a common mapping target. Confirm that logs reach monitoring, alerts have named owners and exceptions are recorded. In industrial settings, IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82 apply, and availability and safety constrain every design choice. Untested deployment is not assurance.

A security tool is not a control until it is tuned, monitored, owned and tested against how attackers actually move.
Glossary
Key Terms
- Security Architecture
- The structured design of controls, trust boundaries and data flows that determines how an environment prevents, detects and contains attacks.
- Lateral Movement
- The techniques an intruder uses to pivot from one compromised system to others, usually by reusing credentials or exploiting flat networks.
- Least Privilege
- The principle that every user, service and device receives only the access needed for its task, and only for as long as needed.
